Following Vygotsky to a Learner-Centred School

By Robert G Grandin

Overview

In this book Bob Grandin has described his experiences in attacking the problem of individuality in learning. He takes us through his search for knowledge, reorganisation of schooling structures and discovery of real ways to support teachers as they attempt this most difficult of challenges. He illustrates his passion for children and the belief that they are all curious individuals who want to learn.

This book is timely as we face the demands of a greater diversity of learners remaining within the schooling system. If we are to engage them in learning and recognise their achievements, then some of the changes Bob has illustrated will need to be made. I found it easy to read and full of references to other writers of a similar ilk.
